Title: How to Fix Wingdings in Adobe for Mortgage Builder Documents

 

1.       Purpose

This procedure provides a step by step guideline on how to fix the font (wingdings) issue within Adobe for Mortgage Builder documents.

2.       Scope

The Scope of this SOP is to show an employee how to fix font issues in Adobe dealing with Mortgage Builder documents.

3.       Prerequisites

Prerequisites: Access to Adobe.

4.       Definitions

Wingdings – A font consisting of useless characters that make no sense and are not decipherable.

5.       Responsibilities

The responsibility falls on the individual adding the access.

6.       Procedure

This part of the SOP will provide a step by step process of how to fix the font (Wingding) issue within Adobe while working with Mortgage Builder documents.

 

  1. Open Adobe Reader

 

  1. Select the Edit tab

 

 

  1. Choose Preferences located at the bottom of the drop down.

 

 

  1. Once the Preferences box appears, click on Page Display.

 

  1. Check the box next to Use local fonts.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click the OK button shown in the bottom right hand corner of the box. The box will disappear and return back to the document. The document should be readable at this time.
